This post is a treasure, thanks for this!
You’re welcome! Have an awesome day!
I just signed up with your Preview app and I love it so far. I’ve tried to post to instagram before, but I love what Preview offers. I love your blogs too, especially this one. I’m a graphic designer, do you have ideas for me?
So glad you’re enjoying Preview so far 🙂 And yes, here are some ideas:
This or That:
Share 2 design options and use the Poll sticker so people can vote.
Or share one design with 2 different color themes.
Or anything else you can think of that is related to design.
The images can be from your own designs, or it can be from some of your favorite designers.
Behind the Scenes:
Take a photo or video of when you are working on a project. What stage are you at? What is involved at this stage? What do you pay attention to.
Or tell what you are working on today, just to quickly catch up with your followers, or to show potential new clients what you are up to.
Sneak peek:
You could give a sneak peek of one of the projects you are working on.
True or False:
Come up with fun facts about graphic design, or design in general. Then people can play the game of knowing if it is a true or false fact. Examples:
– About color psychology. Yellow represents expertise. True or False?
– Your logo should always ____. True or false?
You can do only one fun fact for the day. Or you can do multiple.
Here’s an idea: You could do one a day. After the game, you can do another Insta Story to give more explanation as to why it is “True” or “False”. For example, Yellow doesn’t represent expertise – it was False. You would explain: Yellow represents “Creativity” and “Happiness”. And then you can explain for what kind of brand you would use yellow. You could tell which big brands use Yellow as examples. See what I mean? 🙂 you expand on the original game question.
Inspiration:
You could share the work of some of your favorite fellow designers.
Or you can share “mood boards”.
Before & After:
Share an image of a ‘Before’ – for example, if you do logos, a logo at the beginning of your process.
And then show the “After” – the end result.
Storytelling time:
Tell the story behind one of your past projects. For example: This is how your client found you. How the process was. How long it took. How did you communicate? Anything interesting you’d like to share? What did you enjoy most about this project?
I hope these give you some ideas! Let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks Preview Team, informative post
You’re welcome! Glad you liked it 🙂
